About Tilly Mildred Cakes

Andrea at Tilly Mildred Cakes was captured by baking in her 40's after a baking day with a friend and her aspiring to progress with her baking knowledge, going on to college to gain additional skills. Continuing her love of baking and a desire to progress further she had her first stall at Todmorden Market in 2012 trading as Tilly Mildred Cakes (The name Tilly Mildred was a fun name her mum used to call her as a child). Andrea loved taking her cakes to the markets but wanted to find out about how to decorate her cakes. She has since undertaken a regime of diverse decorating training at college and working alongside some brilliant cake artists. She has since gone on to gain an award for cake decorating and is a member of the British Sugarcraft Guild. Andrea then started receiving orders for decorated cakes and this then became her primary focus.

Over the years, Andrea has had requests for Minecraft birthday cakes to Mickey Mouse celebration cakes to Winnie The Pooh cakes and Betty Boo cakes. There is something for everyone and whatever your favourite character from cartoons from your childhood to your children's favourite storybook character, you can rest assured that your or your loved one's cake will be crafted to the very highest of standards with the greatest attention to detail by Andrea at Tilly Mildred Cakes.

We can deliver your cake to your party or function venue, which we can arrange. Wedding cakes are transported as individual tiers and constructed at your venue, so rest assured that your cake will arrive in perfect condition, or if you prefer, you can collect it personally from our kitchen in Heywood. We offer a range of beautiful flavours and some favourites including a moist vanilla sponge with homemade strawberry jam and white chocolate ganache, lemon sponge with Sicilian lemon curd, carrot and walnut cake with vanilla buttercream, a coffee and walnut cake with coffee buttercream and beautiful fruitcake with marzipan.
